Ken and Joy Edmonds built Joy Assisted Living and opened its doors in 1995. Their vision was to provide exceptional care to seniors in a place that was family owned and operated. Their daughter, Kathy McCrary and her husband Kelly McCrary moved to Springfield in 1995 to operate Joy Assisted Living.
The family understood the need to make it a place where everyone who lives here feels like they're home and part of the family. Keeping things in the family allows them to become deeply involved with the residents and give each the personal attention they deserve.
Joy is operated out of compassion for people. Especially people who may need a little help now and then with their daily activities. Joy specializes in providing just the right level of supportive care. They work very hard to achieve the most comfortable atmosphere available today for assisted living and they offer it at a price you can afford. Exceptional choices of suites and private or shared accommodations are available.
Kelly and Kathy purchased Joy Assisted Living from Ken and Joy in 2014. Kelly and Kathy continue to operate it, as they have since the beginning, so those same values that started it all are still in place today.
Don't just take our word for it — stop by and take a tour. If you've been in other facilities, we know you'll be pleasantly surprised by how at home everyone feels at Joy. Joy Assisted Living truly is where friends become family. Let us welcome you as well!
